Spartans! Enjoy your breakfast, for tonight we dine in Hell!

I went and saw the movie 300 this afternoon and it was AMAZING! Seriously people, it was the movie of the year. Nay, the movie of the decade!

I wish that all of our lawmakers would go and watch this movie. It sheds a spotlight on the conflict between politics and war, and shows how we are needlessly sacrificing our troops unless we fight our battles with all of our might, instead of just a portion. Either you go into battle with all the power you have, or you don't go in at all. This is a truth we need to embrace as we fight our war in Iraq and the war on terror.

After the movie, I drove down to downtown Savannah and walked around for a bit. Man, I love it here. It's by far the most gorgeous city I've ever seen. You can literally be driving through the ghetto and it's still prettier than the nicest area of Chattanooga. I absolutely love it.

One joint I've been to every time I've been to Savannah is a place called Spanky's, and it's a bar/restaurant on River Street. If you're ever in the area, they have great pizza, so check them out. Plus, cheap beer, and well, you can't beat that! Actually everywhere down here has cheap alcohol, so it's all good.

Well, I'm off to bed. This whole daylight savings time crap is really screwing me up. I went from Central time to this crap, so I'm quite literally losing two hours of sleep. Yay for me! Tomorrow is going to SUCK!

Have a good one party people, and keep on keepin' on.

I haven't seen it yet, but I undoubtedly want to.

At first I thought "Frank Miller? Nah, I'll pass" since I thought Sin City was a little over the top for me.

But after seeing the previews, I realize that the only thing that it has in common with Sin City is the absolute overabundance of violence, and that wasn't what I didn't like about Sin City.

But yea, it seems like it's got a great storyline and some awesome battle scenes.

Oh man, you didn't like Sin City? I thought that movie was incredible! It's actually one of my favorite movies of all time. I think Frank Miller is a genius.

But yeah, 300 was fantastic, and is a movie that should definitely be seen in a theater. It's not a movie that I would recommend waiting until it hits DVD.

And yes, the battle scenes were absolutely incredible. It was just so hardcore to the max and so well done. Story line was great and acting was tremendous. I think you will enjoy it. I would see it 300 times in the theater if I had the time and money. hehe.

The main thing that I didn't like about sin city is that for my personal taste, it moved way too slow.

Don't get me wrong, there were some great action shots, but there'd be a scene, then it'd drag on with a bunch of dialogue for what seemed like forever, then another, and another, I fell asleep multiple times - but that could also be due to the fact that it was around 2:00 a.m. when I watched it.

Hehe, yeah. I know what you mean there. But you should try watching it when it's not so late and you're not tired. I think it's a fantastic flick.

When you go back to Savannah you must go to Wet Willy's. It's like Slushy land for adults!! And there's a great Irish pub where they specialize in Irish Car Bombs. It's an effective drink, if you will.

Ah yeah, I'm very familiar of Wet Willy's. Been there a few times. Their "Call A Cab" drink (slushy) is my fav! What's the Irish pub place called?
